MHST631 - COURSE ARTEFACTS
Unit 3 - Health Promotion Model
This PowerPoint presentation summarizes my plan to apply the Population Health Promotion model to inequitable access to computed tomography scans across Southwestern Ontario. Answering three critical questions, enables healthcare leaders to consider the full range of health determinants when answering the question of "what" we should act on; the action strategies identified in the Ottawa Charter when defining “how” we will act; and individual through to societal levels of interventions when answering with whom should we act
Unit 5 - Infographic
Below you will find an infographic showcasing the need for timely and equitable access to computed tomography in Southwestern Ontario. I found this assignment more challenging than I had planned for. The primary reason for this is that I struggle with being succinct and only presenting essential information. If I were to create this infographic again I would eliminate the data table and present the disparities in a visual format. I utilized Piktochart for the first time to develop this infographic and am looking forward to using this software again for either academic or work-related purposes.
Unit 6 - Community Engagement Strategy
Below is my summary of the Ontario Patient Engagement Framework. I chose to investigate this framework as I have been using the resources available from Health Quality Ontario frequently and wanted to explore how this framework could support the development of a strong culture of engagement. From a community perspective, I value the creation of the "Patient Engagement Hub" as a resource for patients, families, caregivers and health care providers.
